The French impressionist composer Maurice Ravel wrote brilliantly colorful melodies to accompany Greek myths and children’s stories. To close its season, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and music director Robert Spano will perform Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, his Valses nobles et sentimentales, and the Suite No. 2 from his ballet Daphnis and Chloe. Plus, FWSO principal cellist Allan Steele takes the spotlight in the World Premiere of a new cello concerto by American composer Cristopher Theofanidis.
