The Unicorn’s Birthday® is a delightful, fantasy-filled symphony experience created especially for families—and thoughtfully designed to be sensory-friendly and inclusive for all.

Join the FWSO for a heartwarming birthday celebration full of music, narration, fun sounds, adorable on-stage activity, colorful visuals, and gentle audience interaction. Children will love seeing friendly penguins, monkeys, ducks, and other animals come together to celebrate the Birthday Unicorn in a musical world full of imagination and joy.

This special performance includes a variety of accommodations to support neurodiverse audience members and those with sensory sensitivities:

  • Adjusted lighting and sound levels for a more comfortable listening and viewing experience
  • Flexible seating and a movement-friendly space—audience members are welcome to move, vocalize, or take breaks as needed
  • A judgment-free, welcoming environment where all are encouraged to enjoy the performance in their own way
  • A dedicated quiet area for anyone needing a break
  • Access to sensory-friendly bags provided by KultureCity, which include fidget tools and noise-canceling headphones
  • Relaxed rules around what guests can bring in, including dry snacks, iPads or tablets, personal fidget tools, headphones, and blankets
  • Pre-concert resources and activities to help families prepare for their visit and get excited for the performance

Whether it’s your child’s first concert or a favorite family tradition, The Unicorn’s Birthday® is an inclusive celebration of music, magic, and joy that welcomes everyone just as they are.
