Overview
This concert is dedicated to Marianne Auld | Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP
Wagner’s opera The Flying Dutchman is an eerie tale of redemption through love, set in the fearsome world of a ghost sea captain. To close out the symphonic season, the FWSO has assembled an all-star vocal cast and chorus to bring this spectral story to life in sharp relief, with all the tempestuousness and drama of Wagner’s music distilled in a special semi-staged production.
The Flying Dutchman is sung in German with English supertitles projected above the stage.
BACHTALES WITH BUDDY | 1 Hour Before Concert
Before each symphonic concert, FWSO Principal Keyboard Buddy Bray offers a pre-concert lecture to dive deeper into the works, their history, and other fun concert-related facts. Bachtales with Buddy is free for all ticket holders.
