Madilyn Bass Chair
Seth McConnell was recently appointed as the Principal Timpanist of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Prior to joining the FWSO, he was an active freelance musician in the DFW area performing as principal timpanist/percussionist in many local orchestras, as well as playing extra with the Fort Worth Symphony and the Dallas Opera Orchestras for the last decade. He is also a founding member of the Caminos Del Inka Ensemble, which performs traditional, classical, and contemporary music, based on the culture and history of South America.
Seth holds degrees from both the Purchase Conservatory and the New England Conservatory of Music. When not engaged in performing, Seth enjoys spending time with his wife Elisa, son Adam, and daughter Clara.
