Kimberly Torgul

Kimberly Torgul, a native of Tacoma, Washington, has been a member of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra since 1996. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from the University of Southern California, where she studied under the renowned violinist and pedagogue Eudice Shapiro. She later earned a Master of Music degree from Rice University.

An avid chamber musician, Ms. Torgul was a founding member of the Pacific Chamber Soloists of Seattle and performs regularly with the Spectrum Chamber Players of Fort Worth. She has also collaborated with the Fine Arts Chamber Players of Dallas and Camerata San Antonio.

Her summer festival appearances include the Manchester Chamber Music Festival (Vermont), Music in the Mountains Chamber Music Series (Durango, Colorado), Great Music West Chamber Festival (Utah), and the Sun Valley Summer Symphony. Internationally, she has performed at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina, as well as in Spoleto, Italy.

In addition to her performance career, Ms. Torgul has served on faculties of TCU Preparatory School and at the Point Counterpoint Chamber Music Camp in Vermont.

She resides in Fort Worth with her husband, violinist Ertan Torgul, and their daughter, Ayla.
