Justin Bain joined the Fort Worth Symphony as Bass Trombone in 2025. He holds the same position with the Austin Symphony and Central City Opera.  

Justin began his performing career in 2019 by touring the US, Canada, and Japan as a member of The Glenn Miller Orchestra. Prior to his appointment with the FWSO, he held positions with the Houston Grand Opera and Jacksonville Symphony. 

Justin holds a Masters from The Juilliard School, where he studied with John Rojak, and a Bachelor of Music from The University of Minnesota, where he studied with Tom Ashworth. As a professional, he has studied frequently with Brian Hecht and James Markey. In addition to his permanent positions, Justin has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, Colorado Symphony, and Naples Philharmonic.  

Justin is originally from Madison, Wisconsin, and was inspired to pick up the trombone by his mother, Rachel, and his grandpa, Paul. 

When not playing with his home orchestras, Justin can be found performing at the Texas Renaissance Festival and teaching at St Mark's School of Texas.
