John Michael Hayes graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1979 as a Texas All-State Euphoniumist. As a senior in high school, he performed with the Dallas Cowboys Band, traveling to Super Bowl XIII in Miami Florida with the team. Mike is Assistant Principal Trombone with the FWSO and has taught at Texas Christian University, Richland College and the University of Texas at Arlington.

Mike graduated from Northwestern University with a Master of Music degree, studying with the finest brass players of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He is an active Fort Worth/Dallas freelance artist and soloist.

Mike enjoys watching Rangers baseball, Stars hockey & the Dallas Cowboys and is an avid golfer.
