Andrea Tullis was raised in Hungary. Her parents, both renowned painters, discovered that as an infant she was comforted by classical music, so she began violin lessons when she was six years old. Andrea performed with the Symphony Orchestra in Mexico City before coming to Fort Worth, which has been her home for the past 19 years. She is also actively involved in teaching and performing in chamber music groups.

Andrea has two sons: Chris, who begins college this year, and David, who is in the ninth grade. Her spare time is spent with her boys, gardening and in her kitchen whipping up international delights.
