Description:
Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the organization’s web presence and representing the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra as the brand voice on social media.
Key Responsibilities:

Asset Collection/Organization - Maintains the Microsoft SharePoint Digital Asset Library and inputs all materials including product artwork and marketing packets, biographies, photos and information on guest artists, conductors, musicians, and executive staff each season

Archive Photography - Upload concert and event photos to the Microsoft SharePoint Digital Asset Library

Content Coordination – Schedule posts on social media platforms in alignment with Content Strategy

Event Listings – Creates and submits all event listings for local publication

Community Building & Engagement - Act as the voice of the brand on all social media platforms and respond to direct messages and comments to encourage audience engagement. Nurture and grow the existing community; collect and report user feedback to the team; seek to solve patron problems by providing information

Partnerships and Influencer Management - Identify and collaborate with influencers, partners, and industry stakeholders to amplify brand reach and engagement

Media List Management - Maintain and refresh media contact list and organize contacts for broad and targeted PR campaigns

Press Archives - Catalog and maintain a record of media coverage and clips in Microsoft SharePoint Digital Asset Library

Publications - Oversees the production of program books

Front of House Management - Sets up the lobby ahead of performance weekends, greets patrons in the lobby at performances, and answers patron questions during intermission

Education and Community Events – Provide support to the education department as needed

Other Duties as Assigned - Opportunities outside of the primary responsibilities occasionally arise and candidates are encouraged to view this as an opportunity to gain varied experience

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree with applicable concentrations/minors or equivalent experience in any of the following: Music Business/Industry, Instrumental Music Performance, Music Education, Music History, Arts Management, Marketing, and/or Communications

0–5 years of professional experience (in or out of a performing arts organization)
-
Relevant internships or part-time experience with a performing arts organization, festival, ensemble, or educational institution will be considered.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work that primarily involves being stationary up to 75% of the time.
Expected Work Hours:
This is a full-time position expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Office hours of the symphony are 9 am – 5 pm Monday – Friday however some evening and weekend work is expected of staff during the Performance Season.
