The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (FWSO) stands as one of Texas’s leading cultural institutions and one of the most artistically vibrant regional orchestras in the United States. Since its nonprofit founding in 1912, the Orchestra has been a cornerstone of Fort Worth’s cultural identity and a vital force within the city’s thriving arts community, with a 46-week concert season, a core orchestra of 72 unionized musicians, and an annual operating budget of $16 million. ​​The FWSO’s concert season consists of over 125 performances throughout North Texas, with diverse programming that includes a Symphonic Series, Pops Series, Family Series, educational concerts, and community-based summer performances.

National Alliance for Audition Support

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is proud to support The National Alliance of Audition Support (NAAS), an unprecedented national initiative to increase diversity in American orchestras.  It will do so by offering Black and Latinx musicians a customized combination of mentoring, audition preparation, financial support, and audition previews.
