West Point Glee Club

West Point Glee Club is one of the U.S. Military Academy’s most visible cadet organizations. For over one hundred years, its members have touched audiences around the world with a model depiction of the Corps of Cadets through live performance in the nation’s finest concert halls, national network and feature film appearances, and recordings.

Under the direction of Constance Chase since 1999, the Glee Club’s recent seasons have included the Veterans Day 2023 televised special Music and the Spoken Word with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, the ABC television special Taking the Stage and Changing America, filmed at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts where they shared the stage with Tom Hanks, GEN(R) Colin Powell and original members of the Tuskegee Airmen; the Carnegie Hall New York premiere of Jake Runestad’s Dreams of the Fallen; two national broadcasts of Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular; a command performance at historic Mount Vernon by request of (then) Secretary of Defense James Mattis for the Defense Minister of China and his team on the eve of bilateral talks; performances at Grand Canyon National Park and Flagstaff (AZ) for Arizona PBS in commemoration of the National Park Service Centennial; annual performances at New York Public Library Holiday Open House; concert tours to Chicago, Jacksonville FL,  Madison WI, Memphis, Minneapolis, Omaha, Raleigh NC, Salt Lake City, San Diego, and run-out concerts in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Who Are the Brave: The Skywalker Session, the Glee Club’s most recent promotional CD, was recorded at renowned Skywalker Studio at George Lucas’s Skywalker Ranch, Marin, California. The camaraderie enjoyed by cadets in their pursuit of musical excellence is best summed up in the club’s time-honored motto:

No fun without music, no music without fun!
