2026-2027 Education Open rehearsals

High School Orchestras and Bands, College Students, and Music Teachers

FWSO Open Rehearsals offer students and teachers a unique perspective of the creative dynamic between orchestra and conductor. Designed for students and school groups with an interest in orchestral music, these rehearsals provide an enriching educational experience that goes beyond the concert stage. As the musicians repeat passages or focus on a particular movement, you will get a behind-the-scenes look at how a performance transforms from a work in progress to a work of art. The open rehearsal will be for the first half of the rehearsal, which lasts about 1–1.5 hours. A 15-minute Q&A with a musician will follow the rehearsal before dismissal. Teachers' and college students' IDs will be required to attend.

*Please note that soloists and special guest artists will not be present at the rehearsals, and not all pieces in the repertoire will be rehearsed that day.

REGISTRATION FOR 26-27 will open on August 4th
