Marilyn d'Auteuil was born and raised in Richmond, VA. She received her undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and continued her studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she was a member of the graduate string quartet.
Marilyn has been a member of the FWSO since 1991. Prior to that she performed with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra and was also a member of the Dallas Opera Orchestra and Dallas Chamber Orchestra. She has participated in the Kneisil Hall, Meadowmount, and Manchester summer music festivals.
When not playing her violin, Marilyn enjoys backpacking with her husband and their two boys.
