Overview
Produced by renowned music concert innovator Jason Michael Paul, the highly anticipated “Picasso Symphony” – an unprecedented and breathtaking film orchestra experience – will make its U.S. debut with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium. An exploration and homage to the prolific genius of Pablo Picasso, “Picasso Symphony” blends stunning visuals with a curated arrangement of live orchestral music telling the story of Picasso's life's journey, his connection to music, and those that composed it.
The symphony features works from renowned composers including De Falla, Britten, Satie, Ives, Albeniz, Holst, and especially Stravinsky, who actually became good friends with Picasso around the turn of the century. The two became pop culture mainstays in Rome and Naples and spent years sharing their works with each via the mail, with Picasso sending Stravinksy drawings and Stravinksy sending him sketches of musical scores. Picasso even created the cover art for one of Stravinsky’s records.
Picasso Symphony is produced with the authorization of the Picasso Estate, represented by Picasso Administration.
