A Message from our President & CEO
On behalf of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, we would like to thank all our patrons for their continued support of this organization and the safety guidelines we have implemented over the 2020-21 season. While we are aware Governor Abbott issued an executive order earlier this week rescinding the statewide mask and social distancing mandate for Texas, our local government authorities have encouraged all businesses to continue the requirement of face masks and social distancing.
The FWSO puts the safety of our musicians, staff, and patrons at the forefront of all our decisions. The symphony’s current safety guidelines have allowed us to keep live music playing since September of last year while doing our part to protect the health of the community. Given the small percentage of the community that has been able to be vaccinated to date, we will continue the requirement of masks and social distance protocols at our remaining concerts of the 2020-21 Season. Our intention for the 2021-22 Season is to be back at full capacity in Bass Performance Hall!
We all look forward to the day our orchestra can play at full capacity on the stage to our audiences without masks and socially distanced seating. The administration and musicians miss seeing you in person. With the continuation of these safety guidelines for the next few months, I am confident that the FWSO concerts will remain an inspirational place where the community can gather safely to experience the thrill of live music.
We wish you and your loved ones continued good health in these challenging times.
