This concert for 3-5 grade students offers a look into how creators have drawn inspiration from the landscape and people that compose our country and invites students to draw inspiration to create music and art that reflects their own American experience. Including Duke Ellington’s A Melody for Orchestra and Bernstein’s West Side Story Overture, as well as many others, this concert by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will be woven together with narration and acting by Kids Who Care and art from the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.
Young Persons’ Concerts last approximately 45 minutes and are appropriate for late elementary and middle school students.
Admission to Young Persons’ Concerts is $6 per person (children and adults). Reservations may be made online at fwsymphony.org/education/schoolconcerts.
