Tchaikovsky’s 5th and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto

May 28–30, 2021

Bass Performance Hall

This concert will last approximately 2 hours, including one 20-minute intermission.

The haunting melody that opens Mendelssohn’s Violin concerto is instantly recognizable. Be there for a virtuosic performance of this revered work by violinist Benjamin Baker. Also, Tianyi Lu conducts Tchaikovsky’s gut-wrenching Fifth Symphony, which takes us on a passionate journey from self-doubt to triumph, building to a triumphant finish.
