Overview

Miguel Harth-Bedoya's collaboration with Columbian composer Victor Agudelo stretches back decades. Hear the FWSO's environmentally conscious Music Director Laureate lead the world premiere of his friend's Algo va a sceder, or Something is going to happen... a rhythmically intricate work that explores the chaos and foreboding of global climate change. To contrast, the concert also features Rimsky-Korsakov's rambunctious Capriccio Espagnol and closes with Brahms' sunny Symphony No. 3, a work of titanic charm and rustic grace that nearly caused a duel between the followers of Brahms and the followers of Wagner at its premiere.
