A Gala Evening with Sarah Chang
February 26, 2022
Dates
-
Sat, Feb 26, 2022, 7:00 PM
Location
Bass Performance Hall
Overview
Brahms Hungarian Dances, based on the folk melodies of Hungarian Roma, kicks off the 2022 Gala evening with a festive flair, while Ravel's Boléro is sure to have you leaping out of your seat to that unmistakable melody that crescendos from a trickle to a roaring waterfall.
The heart of the concert, though, is Dvorak's sensuous violin concerto with the sensational Sarah Chang. Sarah launched her solo career at 9-years-old with the New York Philharmonic and has matured into one of the most sought-after violinists performing today. She's collaborated with many of the world's finest musicians, and President Barack Obama himself appointed her to the Presidential Commission on Russian Relations, and she has also served as Cultural Envoy for the U.S. State Department. Be there when she takes the stage at Bass Hall for the first time with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra!
